Abstract

There are only a few case reports with concomitant fractures of the femoral neck and shaft. A coexisting fracture of the case of the femoral neck may be easily overlooked on initial examination Two cases of femoral shaft fracture combined with neck fracture on the same femur are reported. Both cases were involved in traffic accident by overturned motorcycles in collision with vehicles. Treatment were a Künscher nail fixation for fracture of the femoral shaft and multiple pinnings for fracture of the femoral neck. Because of its extreme rarity and too frequent overlooking of coexisting femoral neck fracture, these cases were reported with brief review of referencer.
