Abstract

BACKGROUND: IVDLab corperation was established in 2000 and developed a liquid form reagents for clinical chemistry analyzer in 2001. So we evaluated the AutoLab(R) reagents produced by IVDLab corperation.
METHODS
Sixteen chemistry reagents (total protein, albumin, BUN, creatinine, glucose, uric acid, AST, ALT, total bilirubin, ALP, LD, GGT, calcium, inorganic phosphorus, total cholesterol, triglyceride) were tested for precision, linearity and correlation according to the NCCLS guidelines (EP5-A, EP6-A, EP9-A2). Toshiba 200-FR Neo was used in this test.
RESULTS
Coefficients of variation of within-run and total precision were satisfactory in most analytes except triglyceride. The linearity was maintained well in the measurement range. Coefficients of correlation are satisfactory in all analytes.
CONCLUSION
AutoLab(R) reagents revealed good precision, linearity, and correlation. So we conclude that the AutoLab(R) reagents can be an alternative of currently used reagents in clinical laboratory.
