Four Cases of Subretinal Cysticercosis Cellulosae

Abstract

The report(study) concerns four casses of subretinal cysticercosis cellulosae, all reported in Korea during the last 15 years to the best of my Knowledge. The patients were yeung men of 19 to 29 years of age and had been infected with the cysticercus. They were from Seoul, Choon-chun, Kwang-Ju and East-manchuria respectively. Three cases were observed in the left eye, and one in the right eye, all cysticerci were localized near the posterior pole of fundus. The author stated how to differentiate the changes of the fundus of this condition from that of retinal detachment and malignant melanoma, and how to treat this affection, and finally the prophylaxis was mentioned.
