Comprehensive Treatment of Advanced Neuroblastoma Using Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant at Nihon University

Abstract


RESULTS
OF TREATMENT FOR ADVANCED NEUROBLASTOMA 1. The results of the comprehensive treatment of advanced NB using Auto-BMT in our hospital. We started a single protocol for the teatment of advanced neuroblastoma in January 1985. The induction chemotherapy, which is the Al protocol consisting of cyclophosphamide 1200mg/m2 given a as continuous infusion over 6 hours for 1 day, vincristin 1.5mg/m2 on day 1, THP-adriamycin which is a less cardiotoxic derivative of anthracycline developed in Japan 40mg/m2 on day 3 and cisplatin 90mg/m2 on day 5. This Al protocol was repeated every 4 weeks. Primary tumors and regional lymph node metastases were removed sometime during the first 5 or 6 cycles of the Al protocol.
