Clinical Experiences with Buscopan a Compositum in Urological Patients

Abstract

For the purpose of evaluating both spasmolytic and analgesic effects, hyoscine-N-butylbromide combined with dipyrone(Buscopan Compositum) was given to 131 patients suffering from various sorts ofurological painor undergoing various instrumental intervention. 20mg were given either orally (2 tablets) or intravenously (1 ampoule). Excellent effect was obtained in 14 (56%) out of 25 cases and good results in 6 (21%) in the group where Buscopan Compositum tablets were administered. In the group of intravenous injection, excellent results were obtained in 50 (45%) out of 111 cases and good results in 6 (11. 5%). According to our experience Buscopan Comp, has a dramatic effect of pain relief in calculus of the urinary tract. No untoward side effect has been observed during the study.
