Effect on the bone regeneration of the mixture of human or bovine tooth-ash and plaster of paris in rats

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the healing effect of grafting materials after implantation of particulate dentin-plaster of Paris combination in rats. The control group was performed only artificial bone defect in the frontal area and experimental group was divided 4 parts. Each group was filled with particulate dentin-plaster of Paris of human or bovine. At experimental group, new bone formation was shown histologically. Statistically significance difference was not found in human and bovine bone in healing effect of dentin-plaster of paris combination.
