Abstract

Caroli’s disease is a rare congenital disorder characterized by segmental, nonobstructive dilatation of intrahepatic bile ducts. The terminology of Caroli’s syndrom is used for the association of Caroli’s disease with congenital hepatic fibrosis. Caroli’s disease is typically not diagnosed until between the second and fourth decades of life. Here we report a rare case of Caroli’s disease which was suspected by ultrasound, and confirmed by contrast-enhanced dynamic computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.
