Abstract

Since the emergence of dental implants in dentistry, various implant-using treatment modalities have been introduced for edentulous patients. However, there are numerous cases where dental implants may not be the first choice due to financial, psychological, or medical reasons. In such cases, complete dentures remain one of the best options to meet the functional and aesthetic needs of patients with edentulous ridges. The gothic arch tracing method determines the horizontal position of the mandible in relation to the maxilla and has several advantages. Here, we present clinical cases describing the fabrication of complete dentures using the gothic arch tracing method for patients with severe alveolar bone resorption. The results were both functionally and aesthetically satisfactory.
