Clinical Experience of Undetected Pelvic Bone Fracture during Treatment of Pelvic Pain

Abstract

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by a reduced amount of bone mass, which leads to enhanced bone fragility. The pelvic bone has a complex shape, so fractures of this bone are often hard to find. Herein is reported, the case of a 72-year-old female, who had an undetected pelvic bone fractures, which was eventually found by a bone scan, followed by a CT scan, during the management of pelvic pain.
