Abstract

The irig cyst is uncommon disorder of the iris which can arise following trauma and many other causes. A caae of idiopathic iris cyst was described. It occurred in the right eye of a 14 years old male without any predisposing factors. The patient complained of visual disturbance on his right eye with dark black colored mass in the pupillary area. The size of the tumor is large covering the whole pupillary area, and the shape is oval, however, the detail is not detacted because of cystic wall rupture during the surgery. On microscopic examination it reveals that the cyst appears to arise from the epithelial layer of the iris. The cystic wall composes of several layers of epithelial cells.
