Abstract

Acardiac twin is characterized by the absence or rudimentary development of the fetal heart and associated various anomalies, especially anencephalus and severe subcutaneous edema or cystic hygroma. On doppler US, reversed flow through the umbilical cord of the acardiac fetus is charactersitic. We experienced two cases of acardiac twin gestation diagnosed by antenatal ultrasonography and persent these cases with a brief review of the literatures.
