MEHTODS: We reviewed outpatients with tinea pedis tinea minus at the Catholic Skin Disease Clinic from 1976 to 1991.
RESULTS
The incidence was 0.08% out of 1,106,246 outpatients in tinea pedis, 0.02% in tinea manus. Interdigital lesions were the most common in tinea pedis. The ratio of male to female patients was 1.46: 1 in tinea pedis, 1.34:1 in tinea manus. The seasonaI pevalance was highest in summer. The species isolated were, in order of decreasing frequency, Trihohyton(T.) rubrum(89.9%), T. mentagrophytes(8.5%), Microgorum(M.) canis (1.6%) in tinea pedis, T. rubrum(77.8%), T. mentagrophytes(18.2%), M.
