A Case of Idiopathic Brugada ECG Pattern Developed in Relation To Fever

Abstract

Brugada syndrome is characterized by a peculiar ST-segment elevation in the right precordial leads often associated with a right bundle branch block(RBBB) pattern. Mutations in a cardiac sodium channel gene have been linked to Brugada syndrome. Some studies suggest that temperature above the physiological range may aggravate the dysfunction of the mutant channel, and may display a more abnormal ECG patterns. We report a patient do not have Brugada clinical symptoms but have a typical Brugada ECG pattern developed in relation to fever which could not reproduced at normal temperature.
