Abstract

Small cell lung carcinoma is a common neoplasm that represents 25% to 36% of all lung tumors. It is characterized clinically by a propensity for early, widespread dissemination that accounts for dismal prognosis associated with this disease. However, until now nasopharyngeal metastasis as the initial presentation of a small cell lung carcinoma has not been reported. The authors have recently experienced a case of small cell lung carcinoma with nasopharyngeal metastasis in a 75-year-old male who had bilateral ear fullness and hearing impairment for 2 months. We present this case with the review of literatures.
