Abstract

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic remains a significant burden on healthcare systems, including cardiovascular imaging such as echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Considering the importance of cardiovascular imaging in real clinical practice, optimal modified guidelines and programs will be required for best imaging services keeping both infected and non-infected patients safe. Currently, cardiovascular imaging is essential in the evaluation of patients with suspected or established COVID-19 to avoid unnecessary complications. In the era of the COVID-19 outbreak, this article will review and provide potentially useful information for the safety of healthcare professionals in cardiovascular imaging as well as both non-infected and COVID-19 patients.
