Abstract

Global interest in preservation rhinoplasty has increased significantly over the past several years. One of the elements of dorsal preservation rhinoplasty (DPR) is the en bloc lowering of the dorsum with preservation of the nasal keystone. The author reports the case of an open approach DPR that the author performed using an ultrasonic drill system. A one-piece osteotomy was performed with a piezoelectric device preserving the keystone area. The patient’s dorsal hump was completely corrected with this technique.
