Mycoplasmal Pneumonia

Abstract

The author has made a review on the Mycoplasmal Pneumonia in general and presented four cases of various types with sputum culture positive. The first case was 39-year-old male, showed a relapse with a new lesion development on right cardiophrenic region after a transient initial pneumonic infiltration on left hilar region several days ago (Fig 1) The second case was 37 year old female, patch type pneumonic shadow was located on right infraclavicular region and much more confused with tuberculosis. However it was remarkably cleared in only 3 days of admission treatment. The third case was 20 year old, female. The lesion was located on right upper lung field. This was found on University entrance physical examination without subjective complaints and much cleared in 2 days (Fig 2) The fourth case was 17-year-old, female, the disease was left sided pleurisy with small amount fluid and followed for one month with no remarkable change of the X-ray picture although the subjective complaints subsides after several days treatment.
