Pulmonary Hydatid Cyst -One Case Report-

Abstract

Hydatid disease still remains an important public health problem in many sheep-rearing areas of the world, notably Uruguay, Argentine, North and South Africa, the Balkans, and the Middle East extending from the Eastern Mediterranean littoral to Pakistan. Hydatoid cystic disease of the lung is rare in Korea. The increasing incidence of hydatidosis in Korea should be of great concern to both phy -sicians & public health officials because of increase of abroad employment into endemic area. The 31-year-old man had a history of spending 2 years in Middle East. One case of pulmonary hydrosis who were treated stirgically with a sucessful outcome reported in the li terature.
