Arthrodesis of the Knee Joint

Abstract

A study on knee fusions of 24 Koreans revealed that most of the causes of knee fusions had been infectious, and the union being much shorter with compression arthrodesis than with conventional Cross pinning. Overall fusion rate was slightly more than 90 per cent and average time required for rigid union about 18 weeks.
