Percutaneous intracavitary treatment of aspergillomas

Abstract

We have recently treated two patients having pulmonary aspergillomas and complaining recurrent hemoptysis byusing a percutaneous intracavitary instillation of antifungal agent and mucolytics. These were a 49-year-old and a 50-year-old man in each and had aspergillomas in previous tuberculous cavities. The technique and the method, which are simple and effective, are described with the review of the literatures.
