Abstract

Leiomyoma of the urethra is a rare benign neoplasm, which is mostly developed in female. We experienced one case of leiomyoma of the urethra in a 34-year-old female, with dysuria, hematuria, frequency, nocturia. Transvasinal ultrasonography shows a about 2x1.5cm sized, ovoid, homogenousely hypoechoic mass, in the midline of the bladder along inferior wall. The mass was confused with the bladder neck tumor. But on Color doppler US, the blood supply arising from the urethra. was noted. The mass was enucleated surgically and confirmed as a leiomyoma histologically.
