A Case of Orbital Neurilemmoma

Abstract

We report a case of orbital neurilemmoma. In 64-year old woman who admitted complaining of exophthalomos and conjunctival hyperemia. Orbital computed tomography demonstrated a 3.6 x 1.7 cm sized mass in orbital apex. We performed lateral orbitotomy and removed the intraorbital mass. Histopathologic examination revealed a neurilemmoma consisting of Antoni A area, Antoni B area and Verocay body. Immunohistochemical stain showed immunopositivity for S-100 protein and immnunonegativity for epithelial membrane antigen. Exophthalmos was decreased at postoperative 6 months.
