A Study of Urodynamics on Stress Incontinence

Abstract

13 stress incontinent women were evaluated urodynamically, compared with 13 normal women evaluated urodynamically, compared with 13 normal women as control group in the Department of Urology, Seoul National University Hospital during the period March, 1980 through June, 1981 and the following results were obtained; 1. Cystometry, provocation test and electromyography were normal in 13 stress incontinent women. 2. Functional urethral length was not short significantly in stress incontinent women, compared with control group. 3. Maximum urethral closure pressure was significantly lower is stress incontinence than in normal. 4. Total area and area to maximum pressure were significantly narrower in stress incontinence than in control group.
