Clinical Observation on the Repair of Hypospadias By Ikoma's Method

Abstract

A clinical Observation was made on 16 hypospadias of the in-patients in the Department of Urology, Korea General Hospital during the period Jan. 1972 through Dec 1976 and the following results were obtained. 1) Of 16 hypospadias, 11 cases (68.7%) were admitted at the age of 7 or below and 5cases t3l.3 f6) at age of 8or more. 2) Of 16 hypospadias , 12 cases (75. 0%) were penoscrotal, 3 cases (18.7 %) penile and 1 cases (6.3%) perineal in type. 3) Cryptorchism was the most common associated anomaly and it occupied 12.5% of 6 associated anomalies. 4) Of 16 urethropasties 13 cases (81.3%) were succeed by Ikoma's method only.
