Abstract

We report a case of benign lipoblastoma of the face in a 17-months-old boy. On ultrasonograph, it appeared as a well-defined, heterogeneously high echoic mass in the subcutaneous layer of the left preauricular area. CT scan demonstrated a fatty mass containing streaks of increased density. The well circumscribed and encapsulated tumor was completely removed by surgery and was confirmed as a benign lipoblastoma by histopathologic examination.
