A Case of Cutaneous Sarcoidosis

Abstract

We report herein a case of cutaneous sarcoidosis which occurred in a 70-year-old man who had erythematous papuloplaques on his anterior shins and back. Hypercalcemia. depressed lymphocyte stimulation test and skin anergy were observed. Histopathologic findings revealed well demarcated epithelioid cell granuloma with a few giant cells at the mid and upper dermis. In addition, a moderate admixture of lymphoid cells were present at the margins of the epithelioid cell granuloma. We treated him with systemic steroid for 12 months, resulting in an improvement of the skin lesions. But after 4weeks, erythematous papules developed on his anterior shins for which we began treating him with systemic steroid
