Abstract

Pseudoaneurysm is a rare life-threatening complication of acute and chronic pancreatitis. Pseudoaneurysm can lead to a massive gastrointestinal bleeding into the abdominal cavity, the retroperitoneum, or the gastrointestinal tract. It can be diagnosed by various imaging modalities including computerized tomography, ultrasound, and angiography. Percutaneous transvascular embolization of the pseudoaneurysm is one of the alternative treatment methods. We report a case in which the pseudoaneurysm due to acute pancreatits was managed by percutaneous transvascular embolization with steel coil.
