Abstract

It is a well recognized fact that unilateral renal ischemia secondary to stenosis of the main renal artery or its branches can cause hypertension, but little information is available in the literature regarding curable hypertension associated with unilateral renal Hypoplasia. Herein we report a case in which hypertension was cured following removal of a hypoplastic kidney that demonstrated no evidence of renal artery stenosis.
