A Case of Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis

Abstract

Tubereulosis Verrucosa Cutis is caused by the external inoculation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis into skin of a person who already has a significant degree of cell mediated immunity to this organism. This form of cutaneous tuberculosis is becoming less common, and in general is following the decline in prevalence of pulrgonary tuberculosis. tuberculosis certain developing countrics, and in our own, tuberculasis qontinues to be a sigpificant medical problem. A case of Tuberculogis Verrucosa Cutis affecting 10 years old, femaie Korean, who has beer suffering pulrnonary tuberculosis is presented. The skin Iesion began 7 years prior, the result of trauma to the thumb, elbow joint, knee joint. Diagnosis of Tuberculosis Verucosa Cutis was established by clinical charcteristtics histopathological and laboratory studies, and review of litertures were made also.
