Abstract

Circumscribed trichorrhexis nodosa is a rare condition in which trichorrhexis nodosa occurs in a small circumscribed patch of the scalp hair, or in the moustache or beard. We herein report a patient with circumscribed trichorrhexis nodosa on the scalp occurring as a result of repetitive scratching due to pruritus associated with scalp eczema and showing improvement after avoidance of the scratching.
