Abstract

Traumatic winging of the scapula is a rare entity. Since first described by Velpeau in 1837. its surgical correction has been recommended for functional and cosmetic improvement. In these casei, surgical correction was performed by Whitman's technique in which a fascial sling is used to replace the loss of the Serratus Anterior muscle. Postoperative results were relatively satisfactory.
