Abstract

Bilateral serratus anterior paralysis was observed in a 18-year-old, otherwise robust, young man, who had recognized the progressive impairment of abduction-elevation of both arms for one year before admission. Restoration of excellent function of both shoulders were reached by the operation, in which transplantation of the pectoralis minor to the interior angle of the scapula and also fixation of the medial border of the scapula to the adjacent spinous processes were done simultaneously for each shoulder.
