Abstract

We performed total hip replacement arthroplasty Müller type on three cases at the Korea General hospital. The first case was avascular necrosis of the femoral head. The second case was severe degenerative arthritis of multiple joints, especially the both hip joints. last case was a patient who had had Girdlestone hip arthroplasty previously because of septic arthritis. The results of arthroplasty were good in the first and the last cases, although the second case complained intermittent dull aching pain in the operated hip joint. Two months postoperatively, adductor tenotomy was performed on the first case because of adductor muscle tightness due to long prosthetic neck.
