Abstract

CAD-CAM (computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing) abutment is a convenient and useful prosthetic method in tilted implant installation or complicated esthetic situations. However, the dentist must design properly and order wisely so that favorable clinical results can be obtained. Herein, we investigate various factors such as connection type, prosthesis type, margin, emergence profile and gingival contact shape that must be considered in the designing CAD-CAM abutments.
