Removal of non-deflatable retained Foley catheter in the bladder by percutaneous puncture of catheter balloon

Abstract

Nondeflatable Foley catheter in the bladder is an uncommon event. We recently experienced a patient in whomthe urologist were unable to remove a Foley catheter with cystoscope due to public bone fractures. The procedure,which was successfully carried out, consists of puncturing the balloon under fluoroscope.
