Abstract

The gastrointestinal involvement in rheumatoid arthritis may be broad and includes many causes: drug induced colitis, vasculitis and amyloidosis located in the gut, associated bowel disease such as collagenous colitis, and also infectious agents. In addition, there can be a difficult problem in differential diagnosis between inflammatory bowel disease associated with rheumatoid arthritis and enteropathic arthritis. In worldwide, there were rare reports about rheumatoid arthritis with these problems, and we report one case of rheumatoid arthritis associated with ulcerative colitis with review of literature.
