Abstract

Renal arteriovenous fistulas are relatively uncommon lesion which are generally discovered during the courses of angiographic evaluation for suspected renal or renovascular disease. There are three categories of renal arteriovenous fistulas congenital, acquired and idiopathic. Recently the development of transcatheter embolization technique has afforded a new therapeutic alternative. With brief review of literatures, we report 2 cases treated successfully by transcatheter embolization and nephrectomy.
