Abstract

In Korea, the parasitic infection had recently been decreased to a negligible level, 2.6% in national survey of 2012. The prevalence, however, only reflect the stool examination positive cases, and the larval diseases such as toxocariasis were not included. In this review, the parasitic diseases which have been still prevalent in Korea are listed. Considering that the larval diseases are more harmful than those by adults, these parasites should be paid attention. In addition to larval diseases, some trematodes, cestodes, and protozoan diseases were also included in this review.
