Abstract

A 40-year-old female patient suffered from paresthesia in the C8 and T1 sensory dermatome, and weakness and hypoesthesia of the left leg, during cervical epidural blockade. High dose steroid therapy and gabapentin administration were allowed for the treatment her neuropathic natured, progressive pain. Although the motor weakness of her left leg recovered sufficiently for casual activity from the 5th day of treatment, the neurologic symptom in her left arm remained uncomfortable for nearly one month, regardless of treatment.
