Osteopenia: When, How Long and Whom to Treat?

Abstract

Osteopenia or low bone mass is defined as T-Score between -1 and -2.5. The clinical translation of Osteopenia is two fold increase in fracture risk. Osteopenia along with other clinical risk factors increase the likelihood of osteoporotic fractures.
