(B) Parakeratosis with vacuolar alteration of the basal cell layer was seen, and the dermis showed a band-like lymphocytic infiltration (×400). (C) Parakeratotic column (cornoid lamella) was observed in the stratum corneum, and lichenoid lymphocytic infiltration was observed in the upper dermis (×100). (D) The column presented mild invagination of the cornoid lamella. The underlying granular layer was diminished and a few vacuolated keratinocytes were observed (×400).
