Total Facial Structural Micro-fat Graft for Aesthetically Beautiful Facial Contour: 3-Dimensional Facial Contouring

Abstract

Face is not flat 2-dimensional but 3-dimensional structure, and attractive and beautiful face is possible with completing harmony of facial contour. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that a harmonious and beautiful facial contour can be made by regulating facial soft tissue ratio and 3-dimensional volume, based on viewing many cases who underwent operations of total facial structural fat graft. The author performed micro-fat graft on 1092 patients who nicely improved their facial contour from April 2004 through December 2008 The operation was done by total facial structural fat graft. Keeping to careful Coleman's structural fat grafting methods, the 3-dimensional multi-layered fat graft along with minimal amount injection technique was performed to maximize the survival rate of fat tissue. Most of the patients were satisfied with surgical results for attractive and smooth facial contour completed by proper facial ratio and 3-dimensional facial volume. In conclusion this method was not the approach for facial skeletal structure but soft tissue one, and the author accomplished beautiful and attractive facial contour with satisfaction by total facial structural fat graft with concept of 3-dimensional facial contouring in aesthetically improving facial contour.
