Case study of ventilatory function of lung cancer, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and lung emphysema -Case Report-

Abstract

Ventilatory function was studied in seven cases of primary lung cancer, six cases of bronchial asthma, one case of chronic bronchitis and one case of pulmonary emphysema. In five of seven cases of lung cancer, VC and MVV were good inspite of extensive lesion in the ]ungs. Generally, obstructive impairment was seen with slight insufficiency of FEVC0.1% or AVI. In eight cases of bronchial asthma, chronic .bronchitis and lung emphysema, generally VC, MVV and FEVV1.0% were poor. Obstructive impairment or mixed type impairment (rather close to the obstructive impairment) was seen due to the poor results of MVV or FEV1.0% especially.
