Primary intraorbital extradural meningioma: a case report

Abstract

Intraorbital meningiomas are much more the secondary to intracranial lesions than the primary intraorbital lesions. And in case of the primary itraorbital meningiomas, most of them originate from the optic nerve sheath. We experienced a primary itraorbital meningioma, which separated from the nerve sheath, so we report the case andits finding on CT and angiography. The CT showed hyperdensity and high enhancement on contrast injection, and the angiography showed the arterial supply from a branch of ophthalmic artery and persistent staining till venousphase.
