Clinical analysis of lid tumors

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluation of occurrece and characteristics in lid lesion, all lid lesions submitted during the five- year period between March 1, 1991 and December 31.1995,were studed. There were 118 cases. The sexual distribution revealed53 males and 65 females. The mean age were 51.6-year-old. The occurrence in benign lid tumors included intradermal nevus(32 cases, 40%),chronic inflammation(9 cases, 11.3%),and seborrheic keratosis(8 cases, 10.0%). Malignant tumors were basal cell carcinoma(14 cases, 36.8%),sebaceous cell carcinoma(16 cases, 42.4%),squamous cell carcinoma(4cases, 10.5%) and malignant melanoma(4cases,110.5%),in order. From the results of this study, we hope that this report provides a basic source for diagnosis and therpy if the lid tumors.
